Chemical Materials Process Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Product Development - Rubber Material Process Engineer to join our innovative team in Mount Pleasant, Iowa, USA. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting compound mixing and hose production activities by developing and optimizing rubber material processes for product development, ensuring high-quality outcomes and efficient manufacturing procedures.

  • Support the industrialization of new rubber mix center in Mount Pleasant
  • Lead the industrialization and optimization of rubber material processes for new and existing hoses products
  • Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to enhance product quality and production efficiency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate rubber material requirements into product designs
  • Conduct experiments and tests to evaluate and industrialize rubber material properties and performance
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures and technical reports
  • Troubleshoot process-related issues and implement effective solutions
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in rubber material technology and processing techniques
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards in rubber material processing
  • Provide technical support and guidance to production teams and other stakeholders

Qualifications

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach
  • Strong analytical abilities and data interpretation skills
  • Experience with product development lifecycle and manufacturing processes
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to rubber material processing

ADDITIONAL WAYS TO STAND OUT:

  • 2 years' experience in rubber material properties, polymer science, and processing techniques and/or manufacturing
  • Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field
  • Previous experience in rubber material process engineering, preferably in a product development or manufacturing environment
