Head of CES Verticals (Commercial Vehicles)
Job Description
Position Summary
The Head of CES Verticals (Commercial Vehicles) is responsible for driving profitable growth and market expansion for the Commercial Vehicles vertical in alignment with Business Area and Segment strategies. This role develops and executes go-to-market strategies, leads commercial performance, strengthens customer relationships, identifies growth opportunities, and ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations. The position provides strategic leadership while building the organizational structure necessary to achieve long-term business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Commercial Performance Management
- Analyze sales, margin, and order acquisition performance on a regular basis.
- Drive the vertical to achieve budgeted profitability and financial targets.
- Preserve and improve Return on Capital Employed (ROCE).
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
Customer Relationship Management
- Conduct regular customer visits and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Serve as the primary contact for customer complaints and claims.
- Utilize CRM tools to maintain accurate and transparent customer information.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and identify opportunities for growth.
Strategy Development
- Gather and analyze market intelligence, including market size, product trends, and competitive information.
- Develop market entry strategies and customer growth plans.
- Identify profitable growth opportunities within existing and new markets.
- Recommend actions to expand market share and revenue.
Budgeting, Forecasting, and Business Planning
- Support Segment and Business Area strategy development.
- Develop and execute a five-year sales plan aligned with strategic objectives.
- Provide input for strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Monitor performance against plans and recommend corrective actions as needed.
Leadership and Organizational Management
- Establish and maintain an effective organizational structure to support business growth.
- Evaluate overall business performance and report results to Segment leadership.
- Support the CES Segment Head on strategic initiatives and business decisions.
- Ensure company policies are consistently understood, communicated, and applied.
- Maintain strong management controls and governance practices.
- Collaborate closely with the Distribution Segment and other business verticals.
Quality and Compliance
- Promote and maintain quality standards and customer quality objectives.
- Ensure adherence to internal and external quality requirements.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and customer focus.
External Representation
- Represent the vertical and CES Segment with key customers, suppliers, partners, competitors, government agencies, and industry stakeholders.
- Protect and advance the interests of the Segment, Business Area, and corporation.
- Build strategic partnerships that support business growth and innovation.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field required.
- Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
- Significant leadership experience in sales, commercial management, or business development within industrial, automotive, or commercial vehicle markets.
- Proven experience managing P&L performance, budgets, and strategic business plans.
