Material Process Developer Hot Shaping

Job Description

  • Translate CT Technology & Operations strategy into a material process development strategy with focus on hot shaping, including standardization and continuous improvement of the process landscape
  • Maintain and develop a state-of-the-art process portfolio with ownership of specifications, capability analysis, and introduction of new material-related production processes
  • Drive cost optimization and digitalization initiatives, including data usage and AI applications in material process development
  • Coordinate cross-functional and multi-site teams across key interfaces (material & product industrialization, quality, and compliance) while supporting test method development
  • Collaborate with R&D, research institutions, universities, and startups to advance calendering and hot shaping process development, simulation, and product performance improvements

Qualifications

  • Master Degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or related technical field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in process development, material science, or manufacturing operations
  • Demonstrated expertise in compounding technologies and process technology for rubber
  • Proven project management experience with successful delivery of technical initiatives
  • Strong understanding of hot shaping,(calendering, extrusion, moulding or similar material processing techniques
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to work effectively across functional teams and multiple geographic locati
  • First-level leadership experience managing technical teams or leading people (LPT certification or equivalent)
  • Experience with process simulation, modeling, and digital tools in material processing
  • Knowledge of data analytics, AI applications, and digitalization in manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar)
  • Experience in quality assurance, compliance, and specification development
  • Proven track record of cost optimization and process standardization initiatives
  • Experience collaborating with R&D departments, research institutions, or academic partners
