In this role, you will drive IT procurement activities across the region with regularly global scope, ensuring efficient, compliant, and value-driven sourcing outcomes. You will collaborate closely with business and IT stakeholders and contribute to building a strong supplier base and procurement practices.

Your Tasks

As Senior Category Buyer IT, you will be responsible for managing sourcing activities across IT-related categories with a focus on quality, cost, and long-term value.

  • Lead end-to-end IT sourcing projects, from demand definition to supplier selection and contract award
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (IT, business functions) to structure requirements and define sourcing strategies
  • Prepare and manage RFPs/RFQs and support contract negotiations with suppliers
  • Drive supplier selection based on commercial, technical, and strategic criteria
  • Manage and further develop supplier relationships, including performance monitoring where required
  • Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies, standards, and guidelines
  • Identify and implement opportunities for cost optimization and process improvements
  • Support the implementation of category strategies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

Your Profile

  • University degree in Business Administration, Economics, IT, or a related field
  • Several years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or vendor & contract management in IT
  • Proven experience in managing sourcing projects and negotiations
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills in an international environment
  • Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented mindset
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of topics
  • Confident handling of SAP R/3 + S/4 and MS Office
  • Fluent in English; German is a plus
