In this role, you will drive IT procurement activities across the region with regularly global scope, ensuring efficient, compliant, and value-driven sourcing outcomes. You will collaborate closely with business and IT stakeholders and contribute to building a strong supplier base and procurement practices.
Your Tasks
As Senior Category Buyer IT, you will be responsible for managing sourcing activities across IT-related categories with a focus on quality, cost, and long-term value.
- Lead end-to-end IT sourcing projects, from demand definition to supplier selection and contract award
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (IT, business functions) to structure requirements and define sourcing strategies
- Prepare and manage RFPs/RFQs and support contract negotiations with suppliers
- Drive supplier selection based on commercial, technical, and strategic criteria
- Manage and further develop supplier relationships, including performance monitoring where required
- Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies, standards, and guidelines
- Identify and implement opportunities for cost optimization and process improvements
- Support the implementation of category strategies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
Your Profile
- University degree in Business Administration, Economics, IT, or a related field
- Several years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or vendor & contract management in IT
- Proven experience in managing sourcing projects and negotiations
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills in an international environment
- Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented mindset
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of topics
- Confident handling of SAP R/3 + S/4 and MS Office
- Fluent in English; German is a plus
