Global Lead Buyer for Production Material - Chemicals CTBC
Job Description
As Global Category Buyer for Chemicals material within cluster of Rubber and Chemcial, you take over the global category responsibility for diverse chemical materials, which contains broad range of chemicals goods e.g. filler filler materials, bonding agents etc..
Your tasks will focus on the following activities:
- Set and excute global purchasing strategy for the Categories to ensure competitiveness, lean and efficient processes, availability as demanded and meet the necessary quality standards
- Drive best source location strategy, manage global supplier portfolio
- Meet cost requirements, implement and conduct cost saving activities
- Negotiate contracts
- Monitor market pricing and availability movements for key production materials
- Identify and implement new supply sources, Steer selection of new (Product Material) suppliers in collaboration with R&D
- Follow GDDL (German Due Diligence Law) and apply all internal and external requirements
- Provide trend of sustainable material/supplier development, support realisation of sustainability footprint of respective category
Qualifications
- Degree in economics, engineering, operations or related field (university / university of applied science)
- Professional experience in raw material purchasing or comparable function
- Experienced in working in an international acting company with a global purchasing network
- Knowledge of chemical goods beneficial
- Legal and contract knowledge with focus on raw material supply contracts
- Project management experience beneficial
- Fluent English and German language skills (written and spoken), further languages beneficial
- Good negotiation and communication skills and analytical thinking
- Ability to work independently as well as high level of self-motivation and teamwork
- High level of social & intercultural competence
- Willingness to travel (circa 15-20%)
