**Senior Business Process Consultant EDI Operations**
**Role Overview**
This position requires a Senior Business Process Consultant specializing in EDI Operations to manage critical operational functions within our banking organization in Timișoara, Romania. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic process analysis, system optimization, and cross-functional coordination to ensure operational efficiency and regulatory compliance across all EDI operations.
**Core Responsibilities**
- Conduct comprehensive analysis and optimization of EDI operations and business processes to enhance efficiency, reduce operational costs, and improve service delivery standards
- Design, implement, and oversee improvements to EDI workflows in strict compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with IT, operations, and business units to identify process gaps and develop comprehensive solutions
- Manage EDI system configurations, data mapping, and integration protocols to ensure seamless and accurate data exchange
- Develop and maintain detailed process documentation, standard operating procedures, and technical specifications
- Monitor EDI performance metrics, generate analytical reports, and provide actionable insights to senior stakeholders
- Lead process improvement initiatives utilizing established best practices and methodologies to drive organizational transformation
- Provide expert consultation to internal teams and external partners on EDI operations and industry best practices
- Mentor and supervise junior team members to ensure adherence to operational excellence standards
- Enforce data security, compliance, and quality standards across all EDI operations
**Customer and Partner Engagement**
- Establish and manage EDI connections with external partners, ensuring proper configuration and compliance
- Conduct requirements analysis and implement improvements based on partner specifications, blueprint design, and technical documentation
- Execute comprehensive testing protocols to validate correct implementation of EDI connections
- Manage EDI incidents escalated by ContiTech locations and coordinate solutions with external AMS providers and IT System Interfaces
- Initiate and manage BMC EDI changes in response to incidents or partner requests
- Administer change and incident management processes within BMC systems
- Maintain and utilize Global mailbox systems for EDI communications
- Interact across all organizational levels with internal customers, technical support resources, and external business partners including customers, banks, freight forwarders, and vendors
**Project and Systems Management**
- Participate in IT and business projects requiring EDI involvement and expertise
- Provide global support to Business Areas during SAP Rollout Projects for the EDI module
- Support and initiate process standardization initiatives for the EDI Module
- Lead and coordinate project teams as required for complex EDI implementations
- Submit internal requests for EDI packages offered by third-party providers
- Provide second-level support for EDI Local Key Users across the organization
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive Knowledge Network for EDI processes across global locations
- Ensure compliance with existing data and reporting standards and develop required standards as needed
- Coordinate and support ContiTech's local key users and contacts
- Provide functional guidance to ContiTech local key users for SAP EDI application utilization
- Serve as specialist contact for Sector IT departments and IT providers on cross-company EDI issues
- Develop and deliver training materials and conduct end-user training sessions
- Execute testing of problem fixes, enhancements, system upgrades, and new functionalities
- Administer SPEEDI/JUNIQ add-ons within ERP systems
- Create and maintain data interpretation routines and sequences
- Manage updates to SPEEDI/JUNIQ tables and configurations
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in EDI operations, business process consulting, or equivalent domain expertise
- Advanced proficiency in EDI standards and protocols (X12, EDIFACT, or equivalent frameworks)
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with SAP EDI implementation and administration
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities with proven ability to translate complex operational challenges into actionable solutions
- Comprehensive expertise in process mapping, workflow optimization, and business process reengineering methodologies
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills with demonstrated ability to influence across all organizational levels
- University degree in a technical or economical discipline
- Advanced proficiency in English and Microsoft Office 365
- Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time as operational requirements dictate
