Textile Reinforcement Materials Developer (m/f/diverse)
Job Description
- Development of new textile reinforcement materials (fabrics, cords) for ContiTech products, like power transmission and conveyor belts, hoses, etc. (worldwide responsibility)
- Development of textile reinforced rubber composite technologies
- Definition of technical specifications and requirements
- Support serial introduction of new textiles and products thereof, including smpling, lab testing/evaluation, manufacturing, product testing
- Provide Materials science expertise, drive knowledge sharing, and support in problem-solving
- Central R&D contact for ContiTech and suppliers worldwide
- Maintain our technology leadership, drive sustainability & innovation
- Identify and implement optimization potentials
- Drive activities to improve and standardize procedures as a part of a lean and agile organization
- Lead cross-functional, international projects
- Close cooperation with Purchasing, Process Development, Product Development, material testing labs
Qualifications
- Academic degree in Textile Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or similar qualification
- Experience in development of technical textiles (cords, yarns, fabrics)
- Experience in development of reinforced rubber or composites materials
- Knowledge in textile materials testing methods
- Strong analytical skills - problem solving, decision making, data classification, examination of correlations, etc.
- Strong customer-oriented thinking, ownership, and collaboration skills
- Sense of urgency in completing projects on time and effectively
- Intercultural fluency
- Project management experience
- Fluent English language skills
