Associate IT Consultant - Service Desk

Job Description

We are seeking an Associate IT Consultant for our internal Service Desk. In this role, you will serve as a first-line technical support professional, providing efficient and customer-focused IT assistance to our organization's end users. You will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues while maintaining a professional and supportive demeanor.

  • Provide first-level technical support to end users via phone, email, and ticketing systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues in a timely manner
  • Document all support interactions accurately in the ticketing system and maintain detailed records
  • Escalate complex technical issues to senior support staff or specialized teams when necessary
  • Assist with user onboarding and provide technical guidance on company systems and applications
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks and system updates as directed
  • Communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users in a patient and supportive manner
  • Maintain a professional demeanor while managing multiple support requests and prioritizing workload
  • Collaborate with team members to share knowledge and improve service desk processes
  • Follow established IT policies, procedures, and security protocols

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in IT service desk, help desk, or technical support roles
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and basic IT infrastructure
  • Experience with ticketing systems and service desk management tools
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Problem-solving abilities and willingness to learn new technologies
  • Preferred: ITIL certification or foundational knowledge of IT Service Management
  • Preferred: Experience with remote support tools and enterprise systems
